Naah Regel Mission has been operational for 05 years now.
Naah Regel Mission has been in operation for five years now. Its beginning has been an uphill task but with God on our side its been steady progress.
As ministry our focus has been on spreading the Good News and bringing hope to those who are going through tough times. Shortly after we begun this ministry, We encountered a pandemic that no one had seen coming. In Uganda schools were closed for two years, jobs and businesses were lost, several people lost hope and others were so desperate, domestic violence and family break downs became the order of the day. Children suffered, girls became redundant and many across the country became victims of sexual abuse and teenage pregnancy.
As a ministry we were able to get a few donations that we used to buy food for many families in various slums around the city of Kampala.
We found out people living in the slums of Kampala have a multitude of challenges, such as drugs, lack of food, lack of proper sanitation and floods when ever there’s a heavy down pour.
We were able to work with several Churches and Pastors to reach out to many people. We share the word of Hope and Encouragement. We do Discipleship. We have been able to get sewing machines and some funds to sponsor a number of women to learn the art of sewing clothes using manual machines. These skills are crucial for women especially those that never went to school. They have been keen in learning.
We got a bag full of children clothes that we shall be giving out to Sunday school children in our next outreach allude by these ladies.
We are grateful for the people who have privately donated in order to make things work.
We are running voluntarily as the entire ministry has no staff employed. We only find spare time to serve God with our time. Apart from the sewing seamstress that’s been teaching and guiding the ladies, she’s the only one that’s paid.
We have a few children under our care, three boys and a girl and recently, we added two more boys who receive everything needed to go to school. From tuition/school fees, to uniform and all school requirements for secondary school boarding.
We do weekly Bible study group teaching in two different churches and one weekly meeting with women in slums.
We do school ministry as well where we mentor guide counsel teachers and students. We’ve been going through schools and preaching the Gospel and we see many souls turn to christ.
We are working on a way to keep all our supporters and friends updated in what we are doing and a blog on the website will be of much help. We are grateful for the churches that have supported us from the start up to now to purchase Bibles that are distributed free of charge to those without capacity to own one simply because they are costly and the funds they bare have more pressing needs like food, medication and school fees for children.
In particular we thank Lake wood Baptist church of Rockhil.lSC.
We are grateful for the support from Oasis Christian Fellowship of Aurora IL and Central Bible Church Aurora IL..
There are so many young children, abandoned children, orphaned children in the slums who need to go to school who need to be supported and mentored but the resources are limited.
